About Me
Helping You Sleep With Confidence Again
I am Kay Morton-McCarthy, MD, the founder of Serene Sleep Coaching, and I work with adults who feel stuck in cycles of restless nights and exhausting mornings. I am a fellowship trained, board certified Sleep Medicine Specialist. I have worked in sleep medicine for over 6 years, encouraging patients to improve their sleep and habits in order to improve their lives. Sleep struggles can quietly affect every part of life — your mood, focus, relationships, and overall wellbeing. I created this space to offer clarity, structure, and compassionate support to those who are ready for lasting change.
My Approach
My coaching blends evidence-informed sleep principles with practical lifestyle adjustments. I focus on understanding your unique sleep patterns, stress triggers, routines, and daily demands before building a personalised plan.
There are no rigid rules or unrealistic routines here. Instead, we work step by step to:
- Improve sleep consistency
- Reduce nighttime anxiety
- Strengthen healthy sleep habits
- Restore trust in your body’s natural rhythm
Better sleep isn’t about perfection — it’s about sustainable progress.
Why I Do This Work
Sleep struggles are often invisible to others, yet deeply felt by the person experiencing them. The long nights, the racing thoughts, the frustration of trying everything and still feeling exhausted — it can quietly impact your confidence and overall wellbeing.
I do this work because I’ve seen how transformative proper support can be. When someone finally understands why their sleep isn’t working and learns how to gently shift their habits, everything begins to change. Energy improves. Mood stabilises. Focus sharpens. Life feels lighter.
Too many adults believe poor sleep is simply part of modern life. I believe sleep is foundational — not optional. When we restore healthy sleep patterns, we strengthen the body, calm the nervous system, and rebuild resilience.
My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and guided with clarity. Better sleep isn’t about forcing results — it’s about rebuilding trust in your natural ability to rest.
You deserve nights that feel calm — and mornings that feel clear, steady, and energised.
